So i have camtasia 8.4 on a windows 8 and i have been trying to find some way to record full screen games without getting the black screen of death. the only solutions i can find on here are from 2-3 years ago telling people to click off the "aero option" which isn't even listed on my version.. Hey all, i know im a pesky little bugger about questions, but i have camtasia studio and it just isnt recording my full screen games. i set it to record the full screen, turn it so the countdown goes on and go back into the program and it only records my desktop.. With the game running in a window of a set size, you can tell camtasia studio to record that area of the screen exactly, and not have to worry about video issues from a game maximizing onscreen. with a game like minecraft that does not have specific resolution options, setup can be a bit trickier..
